Emily Watson is powerful as the Mother Superior. The tension she brings to every scene is amazing. It really shows how terrifying some of the nuns were at that time. This film had a real runtime of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The amount of immersion I was in made it feel longer. The score and cinematography were both very simple but so effective. They both really added a lot to the film and gave it the finishing touches it needed. Overall, this film was absolutely amazing and it was a lot of fun to watch. I would love to see more films like this in the future. Although my country’s history has its dark side, it was also nice to learn more about it. On."Eileen Furlong.
