Organizing the Company Workflow

Organizing your company’s workflow is an essential part of optimizing your business. It may seem daunting but you can manage it. With a little thought and a few tips your team can perform effectively.

A workflow is a sequence of steps required to complete the task. It could be sequential or parallel, or even a combination. It includes mandatory tasks, must-haves and nice-to-haves that need to be completed to meet the desired goal of the process. It also includes the personnel tools and resources required to finish these tasks. A well-organized workflow will ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. It also assists employees to focus on the most important tasks.

Software can help automate the workflow process. This is particularly beneficial in customer service, where it can reduce the time needed to respond to a request. Additionally automation can cut down on the chance of human error in an activity, which improves the quality of a product.

A workflow can be organized into folders in the dashboard to make it easier to find and manage your processes. For example sales workflows could be divided into various folders for every brand or product line. To create a folder, go to the workflows dashboard and click Create. Create a name and then click the checkbox beside the business unit you wish to assign. To change the business unit you assign to a workflow you need to hover over it, then select More > Choose business unit.
