Story
A continuation of the story of the settlement of the American West
The plot follows the further adventures of the characters first introduced in Horizon: An American Saga. However, after the commercial failure of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 (2024), New Line Cinema removed the sequel from its original release date, delaying it indefinitely. Chapter 2 premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, with an uncertain theatrical release. I am leaving this review on behalf of a few of us small-towners currently residing in the San Pedro Valley in southern Arizona.
We are loving this series so far!
These types of stories are home to us. I think a lot of the negative reviews for this series come from city dwellers who probably have no idea what real life is like in the American Southwest. The stark beauty of the Sonoran Desert is truly a sight to behold. Costner’s series tries to remind Americans where we come from, because it is more relevant now than ever before in our history.
It’s about history and reality
It’s not about glamour and extreme entertainment. I know most of you will find both boring, but maybe you could just try to look at it from a different perspective. Don’t look at these movies the way you look at most others. Take off your Hollywood glasses, go back to the real world, stop expecting extreme entertainment in everything and just look at this story the way a real American would.
What’s cooler than that?
You’re really missing out if you don’t. P.S. There’s a famous western film not far from us, set not far from us. :-P..
